NSBA Linear Appraisal Recognition
Program Rules
1.All
Saanens (Grades, Americans, Purebreds, and Experimentals) will be eligible
for recognition. Experimentals and Grades must be at least 50% Saanen as
stated on registration certificate, and they must be white.
2.Only
National Saanen Breeders Association members are eligible for recognition.
All does and bucks must be owned by the person submitting the records.
Leased animals are eligible if both the leasee and leaser are members.In
the case of Supreme Dam and Supreme Sire, the daughters may be owned by
other NSBA members.
2.For
each animal submitted send the following: (A) a filled application, (B)
a copy of their registration certificate (C) A copy of the appraisal sheet
(white typed sheet from ADGA office). The same must be submitted for daughters
for the Supreme Dam and Supreme Sire.
4.Entries
accepted for current year’s appraisal session only for Adult and Young
Stock applications.
5.Entries
accepted for previous year’s appraisal sessions for Supreme Dam and Supreme
Sire. May be awarded posthumously. We are requesting, but not requiring,
a Photo of the Supreme Dam & Daughter and a Photo of the three daughters
from the Supreme Sires to use for promotion of the LA program.
6.Entry
fee is $1 per animal, with a ceiling entry fee of $10 per herd. A certificate
will be issued for an additional 50 cents per animal.
7.Entry
deadline is December 15th of each year.
8.Recognition
Program results plus Photos of Supreme
Dam with Daughter and the three daughters from the Supreme Sires will
be published in the Saanen Newsletter and on the Web site. They will also
be submitted to United Caprine News and Dairy Goat Journal for publication.

- A copy of the 2003 Linear Appraisal Report
- A Photo of Supreme Dam with Daughter
- A Photo of Supreme Sires’s Daughters
