Appraisal - Minimum requirement: Must appraise at least FS87. You may submit her highest score achieved in any year of her lifetime. 87 - 0 points 88 - 5 points 89 - 12 points 90 - 15 points 91 - 17 points 92 - 19 points 93 - 21 points 1 point for each linear trait that meets the ideal point range (14 possible points) Show Wins - Minimum
requirement: Must be a Permanent Champion. 4 points for each
Best in Show win. Milk Records
- Minimum requirements: ME of 2600 milk, 86 Butterfat, Protein 75 (must
meet all 3 minimums) or a One Day Test score of 21 points. DHI: One Day Test: Bonus Points Progeny Points Each son or daughter who has the SG designation, 2 points. Each son or daughter
who appraises 87-88, 1 point. Each daughter with
ME of 2600-3000, 1 point. Each daughter with
One Day Test score of 21-22.9 points, 1 point. Each +B son, 5 points. 5 points for each
daughter who is also a Total Doe. 1. All Saanens (Purebreds, Americans, Grades, and Experimentals) will be eligible for these awards. Grades and Experimentals must be at least 50% Saanen and must meet Saanen breed standard. 2. Only National Saanen Breeders Association members are eligible for awards. All entries must be owned by the person submitting the records. In the case of progeny points, the daughters and sons may be owned by other persons. 3. To be submitted with entry: a.) Copy of registration certificate for proof of ownership.4. Milk records, linear appraisal scores, and show wins may be achieved in different years for her entry. 5. May be awarded posthumously. 6. Entry deadline is March 31st of each year. 7. Entry fee of $4 per application. 8. Four awards may be given each year. Total Doe & Reserve Total Doe, Total Doe Experimental or Grade & Reserve Total Doe Experimental or Grade. The awards will be selected by the Total Doe Award Committee. 9. A doe may re-enter the Total Doe Program each year she achieves a higher score. 10. Results, including all qualifying does, will be published in the Saanen News, at the NSBA web site, and submitted to United Caprine News and Dairy Goat Journal for publication. Send
